Cross Country Catch Up

On Monday the 28th of April, HBHS athletes competed in the Super 8 Cross Country competition and finished in fifth place overall.  The Year 9 boys finished in second place (Joseph Morgan), third (Mathijs Wetzels) and fifth (Adam Morgan) which was good enough to win the Year 9 three-man team event. 

On Wednesday the 6th we went to Taupo for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Championships where the results were as follows:

Year 9 - three-man team - first place with our boys finishing first (Mathijs Wetzels), second (Joseph Morgan) and third (Adam Morgan) which is outstanding

Year 9 - six-man team - first place

Junior - three-man team - fourth place 

Senior - three-man team - fourth place

Senior - six-man team - second place 

We had five boys finish in the top ten athletes for their age groups and they have been invited to apply to be in the Waikato Bay of Plenty Regional team that will race on Sunday 17th June. These boys are Mathijs Wetzels, Joseph Morgan, Adam Morgan, Kai Meiklejohn and William Swales.  Congratulations to all of our athletes on their efforts.
