Congratulations to our New Zealand Representatives
We offer our congratulations to the following students who have been selected for National teams in their respective codes. Year 11 student Bronson Maaka, who plays for the Turangawaewae Club, has been selected for the New Zealand Under 16 Rugby League team. Year 10 student Jaxon Waters recently won a gold medal in Synchronised Trampolining and an individual silver medal in the Under 15 Men's competition at the Australian National Championships held in Melbourne, as a member of the New Zealand team. Year 11 student Isaiah Priddey has been selected as a New Zealand Secondary Schools Representative to compete in the ISF World Schools Cross Country Championships in Hungary next April. Finally, Year 13 student Teo Pouri-Lane recently won gold in the teams event in the "Downunder" Wrestling Tournament held in Auckland on July 3, as well as a silver medal in the 71kg division. He was also named as the New Zealand Secondary Schools Most Valuable Player. Teo followed this up by winning gold in the "Australia Cup" in Canberra as a New Zealand Open Men's Representative in the Cadet 14 - 17 years age group and 74 - 76kg division.
