Clean Sweep at Rowing Nationals - HBHS win Maadi Cup!

The HBHS Senior Eight have won the Maadi Cup, by a margin of 0.19 seconds, over Napier Boys' High School in one of the closest finals in recent years.  The victory finished off a successful day, and week, at the championships, with HBHS winning a host of medals and trophies.  Crews to medal on the Saturday include silver for the Under 17 Coxed Quad, gold and silver in the Under 15 Fours, bronze for the Under 15 Quad, and silver for the Under 16 Eight.  Hayden Shaw won the trophy for Best Coxswain, and HBHS also won the Executive Trophy for Best Sweep School, and the coveted Star Trophy for Best Overall School.  Congratulations to all of the crews, coaches, families and supporters on a wonderful regatta.
