Caleb Shepherd wins Waikato University Sportsman of the Year Award

HBHS Old Boy and recent World Rowing Championship gold medal winner Caleb Shepherd was recognised for his outstanding achievements at the 2015 University of Waikato Blues Award Ceremony on Friday night.  Caleb, a Waikato University Hillary Scholar, had to beat out a number of other HBHS Old Boys for this prestigious award and joins a host of previous rowing recipients including Nathan Cohen, Caroline and Georgina Evers-Swindell and Rob Waddell.  With Rio de Janeiro firmly in Caleb's sights in 2016, we hope that this is a very good omen!  Congratulations once again to Caleb on this award and to our other HBHS Old Boys and nominees on their sporting endeavours this year.
