Aidan Sarikaya scores goal at the Youth Olympics in opening match

The New Zealand Youth Olympic Men's Hockey team have begun their campaign with an 8 - 2 win over Zambia overnight, and HBHS Year 13 student Aidan Sarikaya (seen here in action against Tauranga Boys' College) was one of the goal scorers.  For a more detailed match report, along with an outline of the new match format, click on the link below.  The team will face Mexico on Tuesday, Germany on Wednesday and Pakistan on Thursday, and we will keep you up-to-date with results as they come to hand.
