The results are in, and the HBHS class of 2013 can be very proud of the 59 Scholarship passes, with 9 at Outstanding level, that they achieved in New Zealand's premier secondary school examinations held at the end of last year. Stand-out performers include Year 12 students Adam Cameron and Sebastien Vanneste who won Economics Scholarships, and James Robertson who achieved HBHS's first ever Agriculture and Horticulture Scholarship. 2013 Dux David Cuellar won four Scholarships, as did Caleb Sampson who achieved three of his four at Outstanding level. Youssuf Bahr secured an impressive five Scholarship passes, as did Liam Bullen. A special congratulations must go to Sam McCabe (pictured at right) who won six Scholarships, with three at Outstanding level, and a Top in Subject award in Physics. As a result, Sam has been named as a Premier Scholar and will be recognised as such by the Governor General. Congratulations to all of these students on a set of excellent results.
