2019 HBHS Golf Championships

On a scorching hot Valentine’s Day, 24 students took part in the annual school championships at St Andrews Golf Course.  Logan Madden (Year 13) led the way with the best score of 75 followed closely by 2019 Golf Captain Dominic Letford (Year 13) who shot 76. They will lead the Super 8 Golf team to Napier next week, the qualifiers for the team are Sam McArthur (Year 12), Luke Meiklejohn (Year 12), Todd Higgs (Year 12), Grayson Abraham (Year 13), Anthony East (Year 12) and Jakob Bird (Year 10) who proved to be the best Junior golfer in the school shooting 90. It was a very hot day but the golfers did the school proud and the future for school golf is looking good. Thank you, Mr Kilgour, in helping to get the golfers started and thanks to the parents who transported students.
